What is a Small Penis?
Lots of men worry that their manhood might not “measure up” in comparison to the other guys in the locker room. Not having any idea what is normal in terms of penis size, they are often left asking themselves: “Do I have a small penis?”
It can be difficult to get helpful information on the subject of penis size, partly because results vary from study to study but MOSTLY because the question itself is, by its very nature, subjective. Depending on a woman’s preferences and experience, what she considers to be a small penis might actually be considered “average” or even “large” by another woman. In fact, some partners actually prefer penises that are smaller than average (although this is, by far, the exception rather than the norm).
So, what should you consider small when it comes to your “junk”?
First off, depending upon the study, the average size of the fully erect penis is between 5.8 and 6.1 inches measured from the base to tip. Taking this measurement, you can easily determine whether you are above or below the average.
However this of course still doesn’t answer the question as to whether you fall far enough below the average size to be considered “small”.
To answer the question “how small is small?” when it comes to penis size, a little bit of statistical analysis is in order. (Unlike your girlfriend or wife, the numbers never lie!)
So let’s get started….
What is a Small Penis? The Tale of the Tape….
Below is a chart showing the complete range of adult human penis length when erect. As you can see, 48.2% of all adult penises fall between 5.5 and 6 inches in length, 27.8% of penises are longer than 6 inches and 18.5 percent of penises are more than 6.25 inches in length.
So, what does all of this mean? Well, breaking it down statistically, we can draw the following general conclusions:
1. If your penis measures between 5.5 and 6 inches in length, you are in good company, with nearly half of the world’s men falling in that range. Your penis certainly isn’t large by any stretch of the imagination but it is within the most common range of penis sizes and therefore can be considered a normal penis length.
2. 24% of all penises are shorter than 5.5 inches. If your penis is shorter than 5.5 inches, you are definitely on the smaller end of the scale statistically speaking. However, if you are between 5.25 and 5.5, you are still on the higher end of that small scale.
3. Only 13.2% of all penises are shorter than 5.25 inches long meaning that if your penis is shorter than 5.25, it is a fair bit smaller than the average.
4. Only 4.2% of adult penises measure less than 5 inches in length. Therefore, anything shorter than 5 inches can be considered very small in comparison to the average penis length.
What is a Small Penis? Conclusion
Based on the foregoing analysis, the following guideline will help you quickly determine whether your penis is small in comparison to other men:
More than 6 inches in length = Above Average
Between 5.5 and 6 inches = Below Average but Within the Most Common Range
Between 5.25 and 5.5 inches = Small
Below 5.25 = Very Small
